Guess what? Chicken butt

Wow, that weekend went fast. Suddenly it is Monday. My last Monday, in fact, as a 29-year-old. I keep thinking that this should mean something somehow, but I don't really think it does. Does it?

And now the day is almost over. It's not even Monday anymore. I've been trying to write this post all day, literally all day.

So, our weekend: it was good ... it was actually quite nice, though everything still feels "off" and not quite normal, for reasons I'm going to stop trying to find. Saturday was kind of lazy, and I made a great brunch that might have actually just been lunch, and basically failed to accomplish very much.

On Sunday, I did this:
35th annual Haight-Ashbury Street Fair // Masonic Stage

It was so much fun. Very San Francisco. Just beautiful, for the third year in a row. I am so lucky to have the opportunities that I do, and to know the amazing people who make this fair the great event that it is.

Monday's big excitement mostly revolved around Stannis, the buck who keeps coming to eat snacks outside the office window. Isn't he awesome?

Also ... it's definitely summer in the bay area this week. Sleeping ain't easy due to the ridiculous heat, but even so, I have to admit that it's damn pretty outside during the day:
North Berkeley summer

& then ... tonight ... well, this is how it began:

How could I possibly resist?:

Other than cat snuggling and fish tank wrangling and spilling packing peanuts all over the trash room (cough), we've watched a couple of very, ahem, unique documentaries tonight on Netflix (one about chickens, and one about the ivory-billed woodpecker), and seriously, you guys, shit got weird.

And yet, I still manage to hear a Pixies song at the end of the woodpecker documentary.

On that note, goodnight
