4th Street, Berkeley, this afternoon. Fall is definitely here. |
Reading — I actually just finished reading a book yesterday: The Thinking Fan's Guide to the College Football Playoff, written by my favorite sports writer, Stewart Mandel. I had a really rudimentary knowledge of what is actually going to happen this year under the new postseason system, so I'm really happy I read this book. Plus, I really love football and reading books about football. I do feel I "get it" now, too.
Thinking — About how much I really want this workday to be over. I just want to go home and relax. Last night I had an entire evening to myself, unexpectedly, and ended up eating the world's most amazing taco salad (delivery!) while binge watching New Girl. It was actually a great night, and I'm looking forward to another really good, relaxing night at home.
Feeling — Tired. I'm averaging about 6.5 hours of sleep per night these days, and I'm also running 6 days per week, so I'm feeling ridiculously exhausted. Hoping to veg out a bit when I get home today, because my hip is a bit sore this week and I don't want to cause a real injury. Fortunately I have absolutely nothing that has to get done tonight, so vegetating is a real possibility. Simplifying my life this year has been such a great thing for my mental and physical and emotional health.
Eating — Well, I just ate an Amy's frozen thing for lunch (nothing to write home about, though it was tasty enough for my everyday lunch!), but tonight I think I'm going to make a green salad with balsamic vinaigrette to have with my spaghetti + spicy marinara. Not fancy, but really, really good.
Dreaming — I haven't had very many dreams lately that I can remember. What ones I have had, and have remembered anything about, have been really weird and fragmented. I remember the days where I could remember all of my dreams in Technicolor (mostly when I was on psychiatric medication in my late teens/early 20s). My dream diary was the most awesome thing around. No, I'm not linking it here, even though I'm pretty sure it's still online. Some things should stay mysterious.
You can participate in the Currently link-up at Harvesting Kale or Ot & Et.
It would be so dangerous if there was a taco salad delivery service anywhere near here.
