Actually, I've just been watching NASA TV's countdown to Curiosity's landing on Mars, and in many ways its been just as ridiculous as Olympics coverage. For instance: the entire last segment involved passing around an enormous jar of peanuts, followed by footage of engineers (live, not tape delayed, ahem, NBC) struggling to break the safety seal on the jar of peanuts ... followed by the sounds of everyone talking and chewing on peanuts at the same time. Charming.

ReplyDeleteOh my, it was fantastic! Of course I failed to record any of the measurements, loose as they were, of my ingredients, and it was kind of a "kitchen sink" salsa anyway ... I'll probably never replicate it! LOL
