I always scoffed at the idea of seriously listening to Beach House during the hipster hysteria/hype that surrounded their last release, Teen Dream. I also am not generally a fan of "dream pop" or as I like to call it, "snoozer indie" (yeah I am a jerk). But today, after reading yet another fantastic review of the band's just-released fourth album, Bloom, I decided to take a chance on it. And you know what? It may be "snoozer indie," but it's also undeniably beautiful music.
