Are you familiar with Bhutan? It's a tiny little landlocked country surrounded by Nepal, India, China & Bangladesh (plus a healthy dose of Himalayan mountains), so its located in Central Asia & has a Tibetan-influenced way of speaking, and being (the population is heavily Buddhist). It's a fascinating country to read about, and given some of the photos I've seen this afternoon, I think I'd love to visit.
Bhutan also has one of the world's most awesome flags. Behold:
