30 Days of Lists: 3 + 4

I've been hoping against hope that I wouldn't come down with the vicious cold/flu that Scott had last weekend, but you know what they say about marriage: what's yours is mine. I am definitely sick and have been since yesterday afternoon. So far the worst of it it is a slight fever and a horrific sinus headache that feels akin to bricks being stacked on top of my face. It's amazing how awful a sinus headache can be; how the pain just radiates outward throughout your head.

I'm controlling both right now with ibuprofen (thank you ibuprofen!), but it's quite debilitating without medicine. My mother has chronic sinusitis and to think she goes through this all the time is really unfortunate. I'm lucky I just have a cold and no real allergy problems.

While I'm medicated I'm trying to get as much done as possible. It's supposed to be an incredible day out today and I'm super sad that I have to spend it indoors in my sauna-like house, but I'm trying not to think about that right now. Instead, I wanted to post my last two days of posts for 30 Days of Lists

What are you up to today? I definitely need to live vicariously through everyone else out there, as I'm housebound (ugh!) and have to rest and all that good stuff. Stay tuned for some good posts this week about such things as vegan pizza (I just made a great one yesterday!), split pea-celeriac soup, and my newfound (and sad) hatred of fake cheese.

  1. I hear you on the flu! It's been ravaging our house for a week straight--it's miserable and NO FUN FOR ANYONE. Tamiflu if it's within the first 48hrs since you started showing symptoms!

    1. I am still not really sure what I have!!! All I know is that I am sneezing like CRAZY now. Ugh. I just hope I am able to sleep tonight; tomorrow is Monday, after all. Guh.

Also ... I totally showered today. AND went to the park!

  2. Hi! Thanks so much for your comment about the farmer's market! I heard there's a winter one on Saturdays? We've been meaning to check everything out but we just moved here a few weeks ago :) I'll definitely check out your posts! Thanks again!

    1. I think this is the best time of year to start going -- winter can get a bit drab with offerings but its all about to start happening now. Yay! I can't wait to hear about your adventures when you do end up going!
